GENERAL INFO

I love sharing my creative processes and ideas with you! The following full day workshops will take place at the Creative Twists and Turns studio/gallery at Patchings Art Centre, Oxton Road, Calverton, Nottingham NG14 6NU. I have a relaxed, friendly teaching style and enjoy helping others to have fun making.

  • Workshops are limited to four students so you’ll get plenty of one-to-one advice to help you create something wonderful
  • Use of all tools and a variety of exciting materials are included
  • Tea, coffee and cordials available all day
  • Lovely cafe on site serving lunches and cakes etc. or you are welcome to bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio or garden

WORKSHOP DETAILS

Art Jewellery

If you like mixing things up, getting your hands dirty and experimenting with mixed media then come along to this full day Art Jewellery workshop where we’ll be designing and creating a selection of stunning, unique pieces from a large selection of scrummy materials which might include: Paint ~ Wood ~ Canvas ~ Glass ~ Paper ~ Varnish ~ Thread ~ Metal.

There will be a range of samples and reference materials available to inspire you and I’ll be teaching a variety of making techniques including bead painting, paper/canvas bead making, wirework and knotting skills throughout the day. Spaces are limited to four participants per workshop giving plenty of time for one-to-one guidance. So let your imagination run wild and have fun on this creative day making unique Art Jewellery.

Beginners Wirework Jewellery

£45

The Beginners Wirework Jewellery one day workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those with a little experience of jewellery making who’d enjoy some extra guidance. Spaces are limited to four participants so there’s plenty of time for one-to-one support.

I’ll be teaching you about basic hand tools and materials, how to create perfect loops and links and exploring design ideas in your choice of colour. By the end of this enjoyable and relaxing day you’ll have created earrings and bracelet or necklace to take home with you.

Wirework Explorations

£55

The Wirework Explorations one day workshop is suitable for anyone who has attended the Beginners Wirework Jewellery workshop or has previous jewellery making experience and would like to explore their ideas using a wider selection of materials and techniques. Spaces are limited to four participants so there’s plenty of time for one-to-one guidance.

There will be a selection of wire thicknesses ranging from 0.4mm – 1.5mm, along with glass, gemstone, wood and metal beads for you to choose from.  I’ll be teaching you how to use different gauges of silver plated wire to create chunky connections and delicate spiral wrapped stems which you can combine with previously learnt techniques to create unique items to take home with you at the end of this enjoyable day of making.

Wire Wrapped Rings and Things

£55

The Wire Wrapped Rings and Things one day workshop is suitable for anyone with a little experience of working with wires and pliers or for beginners with strong nimble fingers. Spaces are limited to four participants so there’s plenty of time for one-to-one guidance.

I’ll be showing you how to form and wrap silver plated wire to create beautiful rings and small designs which can then be turned into earrings, pendants, brooches or bracelets. There will be a selection of glass, gemstone and metal beads available for you to explore and design unusual, striking pieces to take home with you at the end of this fun and interesting creative day.

OTHER INFO

I also offer BESPOKE WORKSHOPS (half day and full day) at your own venue for up to 8 people, prices from £20 per person, great activity for a celebration or a get-together with friends.

Please contact me to book your place(s) on any of the workshops above or to enquire about a bespoke workshop at your own venue. Full payment must be made at time of booking to secure your place. Should you wish to cancel your booking, refunds can only be given if I am able to re-allocate your place. In the unlikely event that I need to cancel the event for any reason I will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a refund.
